Large, gridded anomaly can be seen on the Cay Sal bank in the Bahamas via Landsat satellite imagery. The feature is very complex and contains a large triangular area. The image study seen at the SD site, contains another long line and more linear features. I don't have a clue what this could be but it is very large and is located on the Eastern side of the Cay Sal bank. I've read all these reports concerning a large pyramid found and photographed on the Cay Sal bank by Arl Marahall in 1977. Although no image evidence has ever surfaced to my knowledge concerning this find, I am beginning to wonder if there is any merit to this claim that has been widely distributed over the internet.

William Donato and Dr. Greg little visited the Cay Sal anomaly site during the filming of their documentary 'Search for Atlantis' with the Sci-Fi channel.
"Cay Sal, the most remote set of Bahamas Islands, was investigated for two reasons. First, a satellite image was sent to us prior to the trip by SD. The image showed an area inside the SE portion of the Cay Sal Bank that depicted a grid pattern that showed uniform dark and light spots. It was an intriguing photo. Utilizing the precise gps coordinates from the satellite image, the area was investigated with a 55-ft remote drop camera. The bottom in the area was generally shallow and flat with a depth between 35-45 feet. The dark spots were created by dense bottom grass extending up about 12 inches from the bottom. Interspersed between the grassy areas were areas with white sand. After viewing three of these dark spots and the interspersed sandy areas, it was decided to proceed to the primary area of investigation."
Donato has more to say about Cay Sal at the SD Yahoo group so please become a member for e-mail updates. Click on the link to the left under 'Satellite Discoveries' links. The cause of the grassy areas is very anomalous and it could be anything from military target practice to underwater landforms.

I own a large vessel that I use on the CAY SAL bank each summer. I would be interested in exploring this further.
